FAQ
What is End-to-End renovation?
End-to-End renovation is what sets us apart from other building companies. We’re a builder with a strong interior design and project management aspect, rethinking renovation with our unique Design-Manage-Build construction process. We guide our clients every step of the way through the renovation journey from concept and planning right through to build completion.
How do I prepare for my home renovation?
As they say, renovating a home is one of the biggest life projects you’ll undertake and involves a lot of planning to get it right from the start. It is helpful to come to us with any ideas, moodboards or inspiration you’ve gathered and from here our in-house design team will help to clarify your vision. Logistics are very important to discuss early on, and we’re here to guide you through making the decision to move out or stay in your home for the renovation.
How much will my renovation cost?
There’s no one-size-fits-all when it comes to costing a renovation project. Our job is to work within the client’s budget and provide a tailored solution with the most value. If you’ve got an idea in mind for a renovation, big or small, we’d love to hear from you.
Who will organise building permits & approvals if required?
We pride ourselves on providing an end-to-end service and this includes liaising with all necessary industry personnel during the concept and planning stage. We have long-established relationships with engineers, surveyors, certifiers, soil testing companies and town planners who frequently assist us on projects to make sure we get the right foundations in place from the start. Furthermore, as office fitouts specialists in Brisbane, we can also organise the necessary permits & approvals for any commercial projects.
How long will my renovation take to complete?
We work on managed scheduled projects; once the scope and complexities of the project are established, we are able to provide an accurate timeline from demolition to completion.
Who are the trades that will be on site during the build?
We understand that this is your home and you should be completely up to date with who is coming and going; we ensure your house is respected as a home and not a construction site. Our workforce is largely driven by longterm in-house trades who anchor every job; their team underneath them and project managers who oversee them. All of our trades are Masters Builders approved and trusted.
Do you do custom cabinetry?
Our business evolved from a cabinetry company and it’s still at the heart of what we do. Rather than subcontract out, we’ve maintained this side of our business – providing a cost effective solutions for our clients, many of whom come to us seeking our cabinetry services.
Do you build new homes?
As home renovation specialists, we do not offer a new-build service. We’ve found that the level of time and skill needed to deliver a quality renovation is meaningful to our clients, and we prefer to focus on what we do and do it well.
Can you renovate my Queenslander home?
Absolutely. Working with Queenslander and character homes can have its challenges and requires an experienced design & build team. Traditionally, Queenslanders come to us having had several renovations and add-ons already done to them; peeling back those layers to get to the original essence of the house is important. The goal is to preserve as much of the integrity and underlying aesthetics of these iconic homes while still delivering a functional and practical update.
Do I need to move out of my home during renovation?
The short answer is no. However, many of our clients, when looking at the cost saving of staying put vs the expense of moving out, find there’s very little difference in cost and more peace of mind to be had in moving out for the short term. Based on data we’ve collected in the past few years, we’ve found that there was a 25% increase in the time needed and taken for a project when the client chose to remain at home for the build. When clients aren’t living on the property, we are able to save time and costs logistically, and we’re happy to pass those savings onto the client.
How does your quoting process work?
We take the time to get a holistic understanding of our client’s lifestyle needs, now and in the future. A deeper understanding guarantees a greater result and we allow for a longer quote process to give a more accurate costing. If you have an idea in mind for a renovation big or small, we’d love to hear from you. See our 6 step YourVision Process.
